Leadership

Matt Mueller - Pastor

Attending Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN, Pastor Mueller earned
a Bachlor of Liberal Arts. Following his study there, he attended Wisconsin
Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, WI. He graduated in May of 2015 with a
Master of Divinity. Upon graduation, Living Hope Lutheran Chruch called
Pastor Mueller to serve full time as our spiritual leader. We are pleased to
have him, along with his wife and four children, join our congregation.

Travis Breitkreutz - Treasurer

I was born and raised in Wisconsin, but moved to Peoria over 20 years ago to work for Caterpillar.  I was a member of Beautiful Savior down in Marquette Heights, and became a member of Living Hope upon its incorporation in Peoria.  I’ve served in various positions in the church, from secretary to financial secretary to treasurer—each one for several terms.  Way back in the day, I was also a Sunday School teacher.
In my home life, I enjoy reading all kinds of books, but I focus mainly on histories, mysteries, sci-fi, and fantasies.  I also play online games and train regularly at the gym.  Finally, I’m currently working on a multi-year home remodeling project—at my current pace, it’ll be ten years before I’m done.

Mark Chan - Councilman At Large

Mark is one of our newest members at Living Hope. He is engaged in many different areas at Living Hope including planning our outreach events to the community. Mark is a financial planner. He is married and has a daughter who is 12 years old.

Jim is originally from Milwaukee, WI, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineer.  He currently works at Caterpillar’s Technical Center in Product Development.  Jim and his wife Julie have two children.  Jim enjoys sports and movies.

Robert Caylor - Secretary

Robert earned an engineering degree from Purdue in 2010 and moved to Peoria to work for Caterpillar. He began attending, and became a member of Living Hope shortly after getting married in 2014. This is his first position on the church council. In his free time he is often woodworking or taking care of projects around the house.

Mark Schneider - Elder

Mark is married with 2 adult children. He moved to Peoria in 1993 with his wife and toddler daughter for an opportunity in real estate investment and is currently operating an investment company. As a founding member of Living Hope, Mark has held multiple positions on the church council including president, treasurer, financial secretary, and currently elder. His hobbies include many outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing and golf as well as being a Green Bay Packer and Wisconsin Badger fan.

Dan Schnell - Financial Secretary

Dan is originally from Appleton, WI and moved to Peoria in 2013 after attending UW-Platteville.  He has been a member of Living Hope ever since. He currently works for Caterpillar in their Electronic Components team as a hardware design engineer. Dan and his wife Lizzie enjoy watching football, visiting breweries, & hiking with their two dogs.
